This replica is a perfect NON-FIRING reproduction of the one used by John Wayne in his later movies, including True Grit, Chisum and Big Jake. The grip with three finger dents in the left side is unique in that it was used on many of John Wayne's guns. It is particularly clear in the 1969 film True Grit when Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne) is shouting at Ned Pepper (Robert Duvall), before the big gunfight. The six gun with the finger dent grips is seen in his waistband.
The barrel length is the "fast draw" style, made famous first by the legendary Pat Garrett, who ordered the first pistol of that size from the factory. This particular barrel length has been made famous through hundreds of period photographs and motion pictures.
Our replica is one of the most quality and affordable models available on the market today.Perfect for costumes, reenactments, museums and decor.
